Arrivederci 2015!

Happy New Year! Is there anyone more excited than me that 2015 is DONE?!?! So much of what She’s Under Construction is all about is new beginnings and improving yourself - and perhaps saying ADIOS to the toxicity of the past.

My husband and I describe 2015 as the year we LOST job opportunities and GAINED weight. But we didn't wait until the new year to start doing something about it!

OrangeTheory Fitness

We are so excited to be on the fitness bandwagon with the help of our good friends at OrangeTheory Fitness. If you have never heard of them, check 'em out! They have locations all over the globe. It has made us WANT to go to the gym. The weight loss contest begins in a week and I am READY.

I have plans this year. To make changes. 2016 is the year I turn 40 and I've been taking stock. Where have I been? Where am I going? Have I said the things I want to say? Do the people I care about KNOW that I care?

In 2014, a colleague passed away unexpectedly. It was a devastating blow. He was young and had a young family. I said that event would make me change my ways, but I have been remiss.

Now it’s time to evaluate and step up and make things happen. Get on those drums. Take that dance class. Go to the acting workshops. Write letter [not emails or texts], REAL letters. Be a better daughter, sister, wife, friend, colleague. Tomorrow is not promised.
